Doggen the Run

Many mornings when you wake up you dont feel like going for your run. You have no one to run with and you just are to tired to get up and go. The solution to your problem is right under your nose, a dog. Dogs love to run and exercise so why not just take your dog on a run to get in shape for your track meet.

There are dogs for every event that you may run, there is dogs for short speed work outs, there are dogs that can go long distance such as 10 miles, there are dogs that can go fast for seven miles, ones that will go a slow steady pace, or will run in the snow with you. See all your problems are solved, a human can let you down and not show up or not be able to go that morning your dog on the other hand will beg to go for a run. And how easy is it to tell those pleading eyes no.

But before you rush into running with your dog you need to make sure that they are in shape take them into it slow so that they have a chance to get in shape. Never take your puppy for a run there bones are not strong enough to take all the bouncing.

An Athletes Nightmare

Planters Fasciitis, is one of the biggest injuries a runner can get. Planters Fasciitis is when the band that runs along the bottom of your foot from your heal to your toes. The band becomes inflamed because of tearing. The pain is usually at its worse in the morning and is better by the end of the day.

But for me it didn't hurt as much when I got out of bed in the morning when it is suppose too. The reason behind this is when you sleep the band heals its self incorrectly, so when you get out of bed in the morning the scar tissue tares again, causing major pain.

When my pain was at its peak was when I would remain standing for long periods of time or after walking a very long time.

When you have Planters Fasciitis you will know it for there will be a stabbing pain on the bottom of your foot in the arch or in the heal. When you have these symptoms it is best to go to a podiatrist, so that they can make sure that you have not torn something and need surgery.

The way to get rid of Planters Fasciitis is to quite your running all together or the sport you are doing. Because you could further tare the planters fasciitis. A good example of this is Antonio Gates a Tight End for the San Diego Chargers. In 2010 Gates had Planter Fasciitis and played only 10 games, then in 2011 he thought that his plantar fasciitis problems were over but it turned out they were not he tore the ligament completly and had to get surgery.

The way you get rid of plantar fasciitis is by joint to physical therapy, getting a pro stretch, rolling a golf ball on the bottom of your foot to break down the scar tissue, frozen water bottle, using a pro stretch, and a night splint to sleep in which helps heal the fasciitis correctly. Will all help get rid of the fasciitis.
